I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the past 16 years and truly love what I do.
I approach every client with empathy and compassion, no matter the reason they are seeking therapy.
I have worked in state psychiatric and forensic settings, including Metropolitan State Hospital, Donovan State Prison, the California Institution for Women, and the Division of Adult Parole Operations, as well as in acute mental health access points such as Little Company of Mary Emergency Room. I have also directed and managed multiple substance abuse rehabilitation programs.
Having seen mental health and substance use treatment through many different points of entry, I understand that care must be both individualized and grounded in best practices. My career has been dedicated to helping at-risk populations, including those who are severely and persistently mentally ill, struggling with polysubstance use, and involved in forensic systems, with the goal of supporting greater independence, reducing symptoms, and improving quality of life.
